Below you will find the guide for filling a welcome bag with creative, age-appropriate items. Each bag must include everything listed under “essential” and at least 7 of the “extra” items (toys, arts and crafts, hygiene, etc).

Items not to include: breakable items, aerosol cans, mouthwash that has alcohol, razors, Swiss army knives, vitamins, violent toys or action figures such as toy guns or knives.

Here are the principal items that EVERY infant bag must have:

♥ 2-4 diapers ♥ Wipes ♥ Baby powder ♥ Blanket ♥ Stuffed animal ♥ At least one bottle with nipple ♥ Age appropriate book

ESSENTIALS: diapers or pull-ups, wipes, baby powder, at least one bottle, baby blanket, infant toothpaste, infant toothbrush, book, nightlight, socks.

Extras: 

TOYS—small stuffed animals, rattles, small doll, cars, balls (No choking hazards), noise making toys, 

ARTS & CRAFTS—coloring books, large crayons, stickers, play dough, bubbles. 

HYGIENE—baby shampoo, baby lotion, comb, fun band-aids. 

OTHER—sip cup, hair accessories, clothing.

Items can be donated individually or completed as a care bag. 

Please drop off any donations at Carl Reck Jewelers located at 106 S. Cochran Ave. Charlotte, MI 48813 during the business hours of M-F 9am to 7pm and Sat. 9am to 5pm.
